We’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on one of our exceptional trainers, McKenna, who has been changing the lives of dogs and their owners since joining our team!

Trainer Spotlight:

McKenna has been with Off-Leash K9 Training (OLK9) for two years, but her passion for dog training began much earlier.

Growing up with large-breed dogs, including a 110lb German Shepherd-Samoyed mix, her love for dogs started at home.

At age 13, McKenna began volunteering with a non-profit rescue specializing in bully breeds, where she fostered nearly 20 dogs and helped with adoption events. This hands-on experience taught her to work with a wide variety of breeds, ages, and temperaments, helping these dogs adjust to home life.

In 2012, McKenna became a certified dog trainer at Petco, where she gained valuable skills in obedience training. She enjoyed working closely with pet owners to resolve issues before they threatened to disrupt families..

Today, McKenna shares her life with her three dogs, who assist her in training and accompany her on outdoor adventures. Thanks to OLK9, she enjoys the freedom of having her pack roam off-leash with confidence.
